School Enrollment Day: Kachin State CM oversaw the activities

The commencing of school enrollment in Kachin State is held at the No (1) Basic Education High School in Myitkyina Township at 9 AM on 23rd of May with the presence of Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials and the occasion was opened by the students by singing the “Our School” song.

Next, the Chief Minister gave an opening remark and provided one set of textbooks, one dozen of copy books, 4 pencils and one school uniform for each primary level student, one set of textbooks, one dozen of copy books, two ballpens and two pencils for each middle and High school level students, one million Kyats for the occasion of school enrollment day and 800,000 Kyats for the students of drum and bugle corps and students who sang the song.

Then, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of State High Court and wife, State Ministers and wives and the departmental officials viewed the school enrollment and acceptance of the students from Grade-1 to Grade-12.

Later, the Chief Minister and party attended the successfully completing the 3rd continuous uninterrupted recitation of Pathana Dhamma Discourse and offering dry provisions to the members of Sangha jointly organized by the State Government and the North Command held at Loka Mann Aung Pagoda in Thida ward of Myitkyina Township.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and members attended the donation ceremony of 1,000 copy books for the school manufactured by the Phyo Wei Wei Paper and Book production Cooperative Limited for the first time in the State held at Sama Duwa Hsin-Wa-Naung Hall in the State Government office.

After that, the Chief Minister and members also attended the ceremony of providing relief items for the temporary displaced persons hedl at Manaw Shwe Pyi Hall of collective office compound in Myitkyina.

In the morning on 23rd May, the Chief Minister participated in the cleaning and greening tasks together with Kachin State Clean & Green Team along the Zaw Jun Road.

In the evening on the Buddha Day which falls on the full moon day of Kasone, the Chief Minister attended the offering oil lamps at the An-Taw-Shin Pagoda and Loka Mann Aung Pagoda, viewed the offering oil lamps by the Wut Associations and local residents and charity feast donated by the departments.
