Dhamma Sabha Mingalar: Wife of SAC Chairman listened to the Dhammakatha

The Dhamma Sabha Mingalar ceremony marked the 1386 Myanmar Era Buddha Day which falls on the Full Moon Day of Kasone was held at Aggadhipati Sasana Beikman in the Maravijaya Buddha Park in the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw in the nightfall on Wednesday and attended and listened respectfully by Daw Kyu Kyu, wife of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Also present at the occasion were the State Ovadacariya, head of Shwekyin Nikaya, 16th Sangha Raja of Shwekyin Buddhist Sect, the chancellor of Sitagu International Buddhist Universities, Abhidhajamaharathaguru Aggamahapandita Mahadhammakathika Bahujanahitadhara SitaguSayadawgyi Dr. BaddantaNanissara, Daw Kyu Kyu, wife of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing,

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Council secretary and wife, Council members and wives, Union level officials, Union Ministers and wives, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Senior military officials from the office of Commander-In-Chief and wives, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Deputy Ministers, officials concerned and Wut Associations.

After opening the ceremony, the congregation led by the wife of SAC Chairman Prime Minister took the eight precepts from SitaguSayadawgyi Dr. BaddantaNanissara and respectfully listened the Dhammakatha(ဓမၼကထာ)on the Buddha Day which falls on the full moon day of Kasone.

Next, the SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister offered Dhammapuja(ဓမၼပူဇာ)of cash donation and the Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin accepted the donation on behalf of the Sayadawgyi and the ThitaguSayadawgyi returned the certificate of honor to the SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister.

After listening to the Dhammakatha(ဓမၼကထာ)delivered by the Sayadawgyi, the congregation shared the merits gained, it’s learnt.
