Spain says it will recognise a Palestinian state on May 28

Joining Norway and Ireland, Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez announced on Wednesday that Spain will recognize Palestine as a state as he addressed the Spanish parliament.

Sanchez said Spain's cabinet will approve the recognition of the Palestinian state on 28th May. Ireland's leader also said on Wednesday that his country would recognize Palestine as a state but did not specify timing, while leaders of both Norway and Spain said their nations would do so as of 28th May.
