Iranian Red Crescent crews recover bodies from Raisi helicopter crash site

Iranian state media reported that President Ebrahim Raisi passed away on Monday following a helicopter crash in a mountainous area of the country.

However, the government has not officially confirmed his death. Rescue teams had been searching the region since Sunday afternoon after a helicopter carrying Raisi, the foreign minister, and other officials disappeared.

On early Monday, relief workers found the missing helicopter, and the state TV announced the president's demise.
