Inspections in Yangon: Union Minister for Construction makes inspections

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant made inspections in Yangon on Friday. Firstly, the Union Minister inspected the Central Training Center (Thuwunna) and heard report on the Center information and the status of opening training courses to improve the quality of employees under the Ministry.

In his response, the Union Minister urged concerned officials to focus on producing skilled workers with international certification as more than 3,400 skilled workers have been produced during 10 years by the National Skills Standards Authority-NSSA. He also pledged to make arrangements for opening more training courses.

There, in the meeting with trainees, the Union Minister urged them to carry out the duties assigned by departments, to adhere to employee ethics and to work hard to become good employees.

Also, the Union Minister inspected Quality Assurance Divisions under the Department of Road and the Department of Bridge, heard reports and gave necessary instructions.

At the Department of Road, the Union Minister heard report on staff data and machinery conditions. And, the Union Minister stressed that the machinery need to be in good condition not only for normal construction works, but also for special projects and rehabilitation.
