Fake News: Allegations of civilian casualties &abductions in Letpadan

Recent claims from illegal subversive media outlets have alleged that security forces killed one civilian and abducted 30 others after an exchange of fire in Yay Ngan Village, Letpadan Township, Bago Region on May 15th.

A concerned security official has refuted these allegations, clarifying that no armed confrontation took place near Yay Ngan Village on that day.However, on May 13th, security measures were conducted in the area. These actions were in response to credible information provided by a dutiful citizen regarding an attempted mine planting by terrorists on the inter-village road between Yay Ngan and Htan Taw Villages.

During this operation, the terrorists retreated with numerous injuries. Security forces successfully seized three improvised mines, three coils of wire, and two boxes of batteries. Additionally, the bodies of two terrorists, along with improvised mines and explosive devices, were found near Htan Taw Village.
