On May 14th, the Myanmar Navy provided crucial assistance in the medical evacuation of an injured sailor from the Chinese cargo ship “Chang Hang Hao Hai”.

The vessel had departed from Dhamra Port in India en route to China when the incident occurred about 69 miles northwest of Coco Island in Myanmar's waters. The sailor sustained a critical injury after falling from a height, prompting an emergency health treatment request via the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC).

In response to the urgent call, a Fast Attack Craft from the Myanmar Navy was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the navy personnel administered first aid to stabilize the injured sailor. The patient was then transferred to the Military Hospital on Haigyi Island for further treatment. The sailor was then moved to Pathein for advanced medical care.
