Application rejected: UEC rejected application of Chin People’s Party

Those who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they want to establish.

To date, there have been 15 groups that have applied for the right to establish parties. Among the groups that applied, 12 parties have been approved to establish as potilical parties 2 parties have been rejected.

Chin People’s Party that remained to approve the establishment of political party, according to the replies of the relevant ministries after scrutinizing application of Chin People’s Party, it was found not to comply with the provisions of Section-4 of political parties’ registration law and the Union Election Commission rejected its application for the establishment of a political party with the form-C of political parties’ registration by-law on 14th of May, 2024.
