Amended Motion Picture Law: It’s decided to do further scrutinizing

The finalized coordination meeting on the amended Motion Picture Law (Draft) was held at the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw at 10 Am on 14th of May.

The meeting was attended by the Union Minister for Legal Affairs Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo, Deputy Minister for Legal Affairs Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htein Lin Oo, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, Director General Dr. Thida San of the Legislative Vetting Department, Director General U Aye Kywe of the Information and Public Relations Department and the officials from the Ministry of legal Affairs and the Ministry of Information.

At the meeting, the scrutinizing of amended Motion Picture Law (Draft)  was finalized in line with the guidance and the requirement to enact the amended Motion Picture Law (Draft) is agreed in principle as it’s found out the points of Motion Picture Law (Draft) to be amended. Since there are numerous amended, repealed, added chapters and sections, it’s decided to do further scrunizing to be correct and complete sections and correct wordings.
