






The ceremony of honoring and conferring Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovica titles and certificates to the members of Sangha who passed the 76th Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida selection examination organized by the Department of Religious Affairs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture at Maha Pasana Cave of Thirimingalar Kabaaye hill, Yangon in the morning on Monday.
The ceremony was attended by the members of Sangha led by the Chairman Sayadaw of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee Thanlyin Township Min Kyaung PaHtamaPyan Sarthintaik Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Candimabhivamsa, Vice Chairman of State administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, SAC member Dr. Ba Shwe, Union Ministers, Yangon Region Chief Minister, Senior military officials from the office of the commander in Chief, commander of Yangon Command, departmental officials and invited guests.
First, the congregation led by the SAC Vice Chairman took the five precepts administered by the Vice Chairman Sayadaw of Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida selection Ovadacariya Committee Baddanta Sudhammacarabhivamsa.
Next, the Chairman Sayadaw of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee Thanlyin Township Min Kyaung PaHtamaPyan Sarthintaik Sayadaw delivered a Saraniya Ovadakatha.
Then, the Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin supplicated religious matters. Next, the SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior general Soe Win conferred the Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title to the Ashin Pannasirilankara who passed the written test of Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida selection examination from Tipitakanikaya monastery in Dagon Township of Yangon Region and the certificate of examination pass to Ashin Janinda who passed the written test of the first part of Abhidhamma Pitaka. Consequently, SAC member Dr. Ba Shwe conferred the title and certificate to Ashin Pandavalandara from Tipitaka Nikaya monastery in Mingun, Moemeik hill, Sagaing Township and Ashin Acaralankara from Tipitaka Maha Gandawin Nikal monastery in Dagon Myothit (East) Township.
Then, the Union Ministers, Yangon Region Chief Minister, Senior military officers from the office of commander in Chief, commander of Yangon Command and officials conferred the titles and certificates to members of Sangha who passed the parts of the Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida selection examination.
Afterward, the congregation led by the SAC Vice Chairman took the sermon delivered by the secretary Sayadaw of the State Sangha Mahanayaka Sayadaw Baddanta Vasetthabhivamsan and shared the merits gained.
Next, the SAC Vice Chairman and wife, SAC member, Union ministers, Yangon Region chief Minister, Senior military officers from the office of commander in Chief and commander of Yangon Region Command offered the offertories to the members of Sangha.
