Kaziranga’s World Migratory Bird celebration

Every year, people around the corner celebrate World Migratory Bird Day on 11th May and 12th October. Kaziranga National Park in Assam India is one of the world’s largest migratory bird sanctuaries, also observes the day. There are many different species of migratory birds that arrive in the Kaziranga National Park in winter every year.

The theme of World Migratory Bird Day 2024 is ‘Protect Insects, Protect Birds.’ Migratory birds rely on insects to help them navigate and find food during their long and difficult migration routes. These insects provide them with energy and nourishment while they travel.
