Strong Wind: Over 200 houses damaged in Pyay & Shwe Taung Tsps.

Strong wind destroyed houses from 27 village-tracts in Pyay and Shwe Taung Townships of Bago Region on 9th May.

The incident happened at around 5:30 pm, leaving damages to 14 houses and a monastery from 4 village-tracts in Pyay Township while 42 houses collapsed, 210 houses and 5 monasteries were damaged at 23 village-tracts in Shwe Taung Township.

Local Tatatmadawmen and police force were deployed for rehabilitation measures, and carried out activities in cooperation with departmental staff and local communities. Officials also rushed to the affected areas, and provided relief items and over 14 million cash assistance to the victim families.
