Welfare Activity: Meeting with families at Keng Tung Station

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with military officers, Tatmadawmen and families from Keng Tung Station at Triangle Region Command on Saturday.

In his speech, the Senior General said Tatamadaw is mainly responsible for national defence duty, and it is needed to equip with defence capabilities and defence power. He stressed the need to make necessary preparations for security measures with the cautious of military awareness.

Being an area with different transportation access, successive governments and officials from Tatmadaw are implementing for better transportation, economic development and regional food security in Shan State (East).

In addition, emphasis has been placed for the success of agriculture and livestock industries of local battalions and ensuring physical fitness. He urged all to make preparatory measures for to be always ready while strategizing long-term plan for regional security.

He also stressed the need to make constant study on the changing military technologies in serving for national defence and security duties. He called for unity and harmony, serving interesting of the public and the assigned duties.

After the meeting, the Senior General and wife presented foodstuff and cash rewards for the family members and the Maternal and Child Welfare Association. They then took a tour of agriculture and livestock works being implemented in the military command.
