Education Sector: Meeting with teachers in Tanintharyi Region

On Friday morning, Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko met with the teachers from Basic Education Schools and Private Schools at the No.3 Basic Education High School in Dawei Township.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stressed that the teachers are not only responsible to educate the students but also to nurture them to become the qualified citizens who can shoulder the duties of the nation. He added that the government is making exerted efforts to open the high schools for Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock breeding across the nation for the emergence of required experts and specialists for the development of the nation.

In Tanintharyi Region, Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock breeding high schools are already opened in Dawei and Myeik Townships and plans are underway to open one at No.2 Basic Education High School (Kawthaung) in 2024-2025 Academic Year.

The Chief Minister also called for the concerted efforts of the teachers in developing the education sector of the region. Then, the Director of the Region Education Department clarified the current work implemtations.
