Military parade in Moscow celebrates WWII Soviet victory

Russia held its annual Victory Day military parade at Moscow's Red Square on Thursday to mark the 79th anniversary of the Soviet Union's defeat of Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.

Russian Defence minister Sergei Shoigu saluted the troops taking part in the parade before reporting to President Vladimir Putin.
