Train Derailment: Cargo train derails after terrorist mine explosion in Phyu

A cargo train derailed between KanyuntKwin and Nyaung Pin Thar Stations in Phyu Township on Wednesday morning due to an explosion of a mine planted by terrorists just before the train passed.

The rail section sustained damage, causing an engine room and four coaches to derail. Additionally, two passenger trains departing from Yangon and Mandalay respectively were cancelled as a result. Local authorities and security forces rushed to the area to conduct clearing works, while staff from Myanma Railway are making efforts to swiftly resume operations on the affected rail section.
