







Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein on Wednesday attended a ceremony to mark the International Workers’ Day falling on the 1st of May in Mawlamyaing.
The ceremony began with reading out the message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
And, the Chief Minister and officials watched a video clip showing the activities of the Ministry of Labour and visited the booths displaying the MSME, regional food and industrial products.
On the same day, the Chief Minister visited the Sasana 2500 Monastery housing the temporarily displaced persons from Mawlamyaing and Chaungzone areas, paid respects to members of the Sangha and held talks with the temporarily displaced persons on measures to help them return to their original places as stability is restored in the areas before fulfilling the requirements.
It’s reported that the Mon state government has been providing aid to the temporarily displaced persons who have arrived in Mon state due to the regional conditions.
