






Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, along with Lt. Gen. Nyunt Win Swe from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army), the commander of the Southeast Command, senior military officers, paid a visit to the Military Hospital in Mawlamyine Township, Mon State on Monday.
During their visit, the Vice Senior General and his entourage provided comfort to the injured military personnel who were carrying out their national defense and security duties, inquired about the conditions of injuries, the progress of medical treatment, the recovery status, and gave words of encouragement.
After that, the Vice Senior General coordinated the requirements upon the reports of the military personnel and presented cash of honor, followed by the distribution of honorariums to the medical military personnel currently serving in the hospital.
In the afternoon, the Vice Senior General held a meeting with the Chief Ministers and departmental officials from Kayin and Mon States in Mawlamyine.
During the session, the Vice Senior General emphasized the necessity of enhancing bilateral relations and bolstering the border trade, given the strategic importance of Kayin and Mon States as border regions with crucial trade routes. He stressed the importance of collaboration among the Government, Tatmadaw and the people to combat terrorism, highlighting that regional peace and stability can only be achieved on the responsible engagement of locals.
Additionally, the Vice Senior General underscored the importance of security awareness and preemptive measures to prevent the infiltration of violence into already tranquil towns and villages. He gave detailed discussions for peaceful learning of the students from Mon and Kayin States, the needs to provide the health care needed by the locals and to maintain balance between politics, defense and economy and MSME businesses.
After that, the Chief Ministers of Kayin and Mon State and the departmental officials reported on the regional development works, peace and security matters in the border areas, the provision of temporary shelters and essential aid to displaced persons, rehabilitation efforts, ensuring uninterrupted education for students, disbursing loans to MSME enterprises, implementing agricultural and livestock breeding initiatives, as well as outlining work plans for paddy and rubber cultivation.
The Vice Senior General raised the questions upon the reports and coordinated the needs upon the presentations. In the afternoon, the Vice Senior General met with the commanders and military officials of the stations at Southeast Command, discussing about the local law enforcement and security issues.
