







Opening Ceremony of the Legal Advocacy Center (LAC) was held at the center in Ottarathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Monday, with the attendance of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
The ceremony commenced with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the high ranking officials, followed by unveiling of the LAC by the Prime Minister, and sprinkling with scented water to the center signboard.
The ceremony continued with video presentation on the new building, and handing over of documents. Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General Dr Thida Oo later presented a commemorative gift to the Prime Minister to mark the opening of the center.
In his speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the important role of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in future work process of the country, disseminating legal knowledge among the public for ensuring rule of law.
For successful implementation of legislation, administration and judiciary sectors, it is needed to appoint and assign the qualified legal officers, and this newly opened center could contribute the learning opportunities for the staff and those professions in legal fields.
The Prime Minister called for long term durability of the facility by laying down the effective strategies for successful implementation of the tasks. The Union Minister for Legal Affairs explained the legal matters and conducting of legal advocacy training courses and expressed thanks for the facility.
After the ceremony, the Prime Minister and party took a tour around the newly opened center.
