Power Generation: MOEP Union Minister tours in Shan State

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun on April 28th visited Tikyit Coal-fired Thermal Power Plant in Panglaung Township of Shan State (South).

The Union Minister heard reports on poer generation and distribution, availability of coal, its usage and stockpiling and construction of Coal Dryers. He also instructed the need to make systematic operation with constant maintenance for durability.

Then, the Union Minister and party inspected the operation process at the Control Room and Turbine Room as well as the maintenance works, construction of Coal Dryers and storage condition of coal ashes. They then visited the coal mining plot of Eden Energy and Natural Resources Development Company Limited and oversaw the work process.

On arrival at the Kalaw Main Sub-station, the Union Minister met with the staff from Kayah State who are affiliated at offices in Kalaw and Aungban, providing assistance. The Union Minister also oversaw the operation processes at the Control Room and Switchyard.
