The Cultural Museum in Myitkyina is undergoing an extension project. On April 28th, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu MraZan inspected the progress of the works and instructed for the timely completion of the construction, meeting the set standards.

Once completed, the museum will showcase the traditional customs of each ethnic tribe through Touch Screen Displays, with a miniature plot of the Manaw Dance in the center. Currently, six Kachin tribes and five Shan tribes reside in Kachin State. The current displays at the museum include traditional attire, utensils, cultural customs, heritage, and literature from these ethnic tribes across eight booths and a library.
