Amnesty Order: Commutation of sentence to404 prisoners in Mon State

404 prisoners from various prisons, jails, and detention camps in Mon State have been released following the Amnesty Orders issued by the State Administration Council on April 17th.
In commemoration of Myanmar New Year, celebrated on April 17th, and based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, the Chairman of the State Administration Council has reduced the prison terms of these individuals, except in specific cases, under Article 401(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, through State Administration Council Orders.
