Vibrant Celebrations: Yangon Region prepares for Thingyan Festival

Yangon Region is gearing up for celebrating the traditional Thingyan Festival. On Friday, Chief Minister U Soe Thein visited the Yangon Mayor Pandal and oversaw the rehearsal for the opening ceremony.
The Mayor Pandal is scheduled to perform a variety of entertainment programs featuring Yein Dance performances by the artists and departmental staff, as well as Thingyan songs and dances by famous vocalists and artists.
Likewise, preparations are in full swing for the Walking Thingyan at the People’s Square. The public can enjoy water throwing and charity feasts at 10 departmental pandals, one Splash Walk Pandal, and an entertainment pandal.
There will also be entertainment programs by famous vocalists and DJ artists. Arrangements have been provided for sufficient water supply for the pandals.
