9th Anniversary Observed: Union Minister’s Office of MOI observed

The 9th Anniversary of the Union Minister’s Office of the Ministry of Information was observed at the assembly hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 10th April.

The celebration of anniversary was attended by the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint and MaJ-Gen Zaw Min Tun, permanent secretary U Myo Myint Maung, heads of departments, prize winners and personnel.

First, the documentary video “The capacity of Union Minister’s Office, cooperation to be strengthened” was screened. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn said that the Ministry is actively serving apart from the original duties, every sectors concerning with the country including development of the sectors of motion picture, music and literature.

Union Minister’s Office tends and is in charge of 5 departments under the Ministry such as MRTV, Information and Public Relations Department, Printing and Publishing Department, Department of Media Development and News and Periodical Enterprise and bridges with the superior departments.

As the Union Minister’s Office has to lead in serving the duties for the better image of the Ministry, the personnel of the office need to make the strenuous efforts for serving the duties successfully with an excellent ability and no margin of error.

The Union Minister also gave other necessary instructions. Next, the Deputy Ministers U Ye Tint and MaJ-Gen Zaw Min Tun gave the words of honor and encouragement to the personnel. Then, the Union Minister and Deputy Ministers awarded the prizes of excellent performance to the winners and the award winners in the external and internal trainings.

After that, the Union Minister, Deputy Ministers, permanent secretary and heads of departments presented gift of cash by lucky-drawing and took the documentary photo with the outstanding award winners.
