Smooth Commodity Flow: Border trade promotion efforts with Laos

Efforts are underway to facilitate the smooth flow of commodities by promoting border trade between Myanmar and Laos.

On April 7th, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, together with officials, visited the Myanmar-Laos Friendship Bridge to oversee the operational process.

They also met with staff and instructed them to promote border trade. During the tour, the Chief Minister inspected the work undertaken by the staff of the Immigration and Population Department at the bilateral border trade post, as well as the operational process of the Mekong-Lancang Trade Post.
