




As Basic Literacy Campaign has been carried out for the rural and ethnic communities, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, State ministers and officials observed the activities at literacy classes on Saturday.
The Chief Minister and party arrived at Basic Education High School (Branch) in Ngan Tay ward of Mawlamyine where they cordially met with volunteer instructors, supervisor and attendees learning the basic literacy course and provided stationaries for the classes.
In Mawlamyine Township, 68 classes have been conducted for basic literacy campaigns with the assignment of 68 instructors and 7 supervisors. 1,020 individuals are attending the classes through 40-day teaching program from 6th April to 15th May.
