Graduation Ceremony: Completion of Officer Cadets Diploma Course

A graduation ceremony of Officer Cadets Diploma Course No. 15 was held at Myanmar Mercantile Marine College in Yangon on Friday.

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications, General Mya Tun Oo attended the ceremony, along with Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister, Regional Ministers and other concerned officials.

First, the Deputy Prime Minister inspected the graduation column. The parade columns later marched in formation, paying salute to the Deputy Prime Minister. The Deputy Prime Minister presented honorary awards to outstanding graduated officers.

After the parade, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Union Minister met with 6 outstanding officer cadets and their parents and extended words of congratuations, followed by the group photo session. 179 mercantile marine graduates have grabbed achievements in this Diploma Course No. 15. Established in 1963, Myanmar Mercantile Marine College turned out more than 270,000 officers.
