Consumers Safety: Food and Drug Board of Authority meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

The Food and Drug Board of Authority convened its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Chairman of the Board, Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, delivered a speech, highlighting that the State Administration Council issued an amendment for the National Food Law in March, along with the order to establish a Grace Period for controlled foods.

The Union Minister emphasized the necessity of developing directives, policies, and regulations in alignment with the evolving trends of the age to ensure efficient execution of tasks. During the meeting, discussions focused on the initiatives concerning illegal food, drugs, medical equipment, and cosmetics.
