Youth Affairs: Work coordination meeting for youth development

A work coordination meeting on youth affairs was held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affaris in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Chairman of the Central Committee for Youth Affairs Union Minister U Min Thein Zan discussed that plans have been accelerated for the youths to spned the summer holidays efficiently. In this context, efforts are being made for nurturing the patriotic fervor of the youths through conducting roundtable talks, educative seminars, sports activiies, quiz and study tours.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn also pledged to make cooperative efforts for development of youths through cooperation with artists. Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe also outlined the plans for youth interest programs. Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw stressed the need to implement quiz program with the use of information technology.

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win also discussed that arrangements have been made to conduct Red Cross training during summer holidays for the youths to gain knowledge for thier lives. Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win also pointed out the need to add review program for respective sectors for sharing knowledge among the youths.
