Myanmar Competition Commission Meeting: Plans for implementation of the Competition Law discussed

Myanmar Competition Commission held its  meeting (1/2024) on Friday.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Commission, Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn delivered an opeing speech, saying that Competition Law has a wide range of coverage as it concerns with economic related sector as well as regional and biletral cooperation.

Since the Competition Law plays a vital role in world economic recovery after COVID-19 period, it is nesseary to work harder for not to lag behind. He urged all make all-round efforts for foreign relations in order to avoid setbacks while ensuring fair competition locally.

The meeting discussed regional and bilateral cooperation, future plans for implementation of the Competition Law effectively and tackling the complaints.
