




A new Social Security Clinic was opened at Dhanatheikdi Ward of Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw on 22nd March as a gesture to mark the 79th Anniversary Armed Forces Day.
The opening ceremony of Baymakha Social Security Clinic was held at the clinic, with the presence of Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo. The Union Minister and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman formally opened the clinic by cutting the rubbon and took a tour around the clinic.
The Social Security Board is implementing 2 out of 6 kinds of insurance system to provide effective healthcare services and social security benefits for the insured workers in accordance with the law. 15 kinds of benefits are being provided and it is supporting the economic development of the country.
Health care services have been provided for insured workers through contract clinics with the cooperation of private sector. Currently, there are 21 Capitation Payment clinics, 41 Fee for Service Payment clinics, 29 Specialist OG OPD clinics, and 15 materity clinics. From February 2023 to February 2024, the social security board has been providing healthcare services and financial benefits for 4,309 insured workers, worth 779.66 million kyats.
