World Water Day: Commemorative ceremony held in Nay Pyi Taw

World Water Day ceremony was held at Myanmar International Convention Center-II in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, with the presence of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, in his capacity as the Chairman of National Water Resource Committee.

This year theme for World Water Day is “Leveraging Water for Peace”. During the ceremony, the winners at the World Water Day commemorative contests were awarded.

In honour of the celebration, a video clip on the World Water Day was screened, followed by a dramatic play by the performance of the staff from the Department of Water Resources and Improvement of River System. After the ceremony, the Prime Minister and attendees toured the commemorative booths for World Water Day.
