Meeting with personnel: MOI UM met with the personnel at MRTV (Yangon)

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn met with the officials and staff members from the departments and enterprises under the Ministry at Studio-A of MRTV (Yangon) on Pyay Road in the afternoon on Tuesday.

First, the Union Minister watched the shooting of gymnastics demonstration of Ma Lamin Phuu Pyae (Grade-6 in BEHS-1, Dagon) who is parting in Quiz Time program and the shooting of Saxophone Performance shown by Maung Thet Htoo San (Grade-6, TTC) and gave words of encouragement to them and awarded cash of honor.

Then, the Union Minister viewed the filming of a comedy one-act play arranged and presented by Pattamya Kay Khaing at Studio-A of MRTV (Yangon). After that, Union Minister met with the officials and staff members from the departments and enterprises under the Ministry of Information.

First, a video clip on nation building and the role of State-owned media was screened. In his remark, the Union Minister said that such a meeting with the personnel serving duties in Yangon Region takes place to generate new strength in them.

Although each and every personnel has own ambition, the focal point for all of us is the peace and development of the country in the future. Due to the progress of AI technology in the world, as the technological warfare will be probably encountered, the technologies regarding with the media should be pursued individually.

The personnel under the Ministry need to keep close eye on the activities of the government and disseminate the correct information to the public. Today, some young people are on the wrong path due to misconceptions, we must all make efforts to bring them to the right path.

The Public Military Service Law is being exercised in the countries of the world and so is in our country. Every citizen has a responsibility to protect the motherland. In other words, as every country is shaping the national interest of its country in various ways, the personnel of the Ministry must prioritize the interest of the country and the people.

The news that the young people who will serve the public military service will be sent to the armed conflict areas is just misinformation and rumor. After that, the Union Minister and heads of departments presented 5 sets of DTH satellites dishes and 100 set-top boxes under drawing ballot system and cordially greeted them.

In the morning, the Union Minister also inspected the raw material warehouse of the Department of Printing and Publishing in Padonma Road, Dagon Township in Yangon.
