Rural Development: Transforming Yemon Village into a smart hub of development

Yemon Village in Hlegu Township is undergoing a transformation into a Smart Village, with comprehensive plans encompassing six major sectors. Infrastructure development, vocational training, rural economic promotion, and improved road facilities are among the key focus areas.
On Saturday, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe visited the village, to observe the progress made in various development endeavors. The initiatives such as the dairy cow breeding farm, supported by the Rural Economic Promotion Fund, and the establishment of a Village ICT Center mark significant milestones.
Additionally, the implementation of water purification systems, concrete paving of village roads, and the introduction of a systematic garbage management system highlight the efforts towards sustainable development.
The ongoing seasonal crop cultivation under the Emerald Village project further enhances the village's economic prospects. Plans are underway to replicate this model in Taunglone Village, in order to maintain the development momentum in the region.
