Application for Registration: TPP submitted application for the party registration

Those who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they want to establish.

To date, 15 groups have applied for the right to establish a party. Among the groups that applied, 12 political parties have been allowed to establish. Among the 12 political parties allowed to be established, the Trustees of the Peace Party led by Phon Kyar Phuu (a) U Nay Win Maung applied to the Commission on 13th March, 2024 to register as a political party under the Registration of Political Parties Rule 7 within 30 days from the date of approval for the establishment of the party.

Among the 12 political parties applied for the party registration, 9 parties have been allowed. The UEC is scrutinizing the remaining parties to be able to allow for the party registration.
