Better Transportation: New village road opens in Twantay Township

The opening ceremony of the new Abay Village entrance concerete road was held in Twantay Township to mark the 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day with the attendance of Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein.

First, the Director of the Department of Region Rural Road Development clarified the construction process of the new concerete road and a local resident expressed words of gratitude. Then, the Chief Minister met with the local famers and growers and encouraged them to use seeders in growing crops and explained the benefits of the seeders scuch as meeting the targeted yield and increasing income by multi cropping.

Then, the Chief Minister provided cash assistance to drum and bugle corps of No.1 Basic Education High School. Then, the new concrete road was opened by cutting ceremonial ribbons. The 2,640ft long and 12ft wide new concerete road was constructed by Soe Myanmar Aung Company with the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Region allocated fund and it will benefit to 4,617 local residents from 1,150 households of Abay, Nyaung Kone, Sar Phyu Su, Ywar Pone, Ywar Lay, Eai Lamu and Matu Kone Villages.
