Opening of water pumping station: MGY CM opened Solar Powered water pumping station

In commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin along with the Magway Region Security and Boarder Affairs Minister Colonel Moe Min Thein and district/township level departmental officials on Tuesday atteded the opening ceremony of Ywar Thar Gyi 251 KW Solar-powered Water Pumping Station and New Kan Kaw Road implemented with Magway Region Government’s capital fund allocation in 2023-2024 FY in Pwint Phyu Township.

At the Ywar Thar Gyi Solar Powered Water Pumping Station, Chief Minister said that implementions are being made in various ways to find water sources for high yields in the region. He also added that including Ywar Thar Gyi Electric- Poewered Water Pumping Station, 6 Water Pumping Stations were installed in the Region.

The Chief Minister also said that due to complete installation of altogether 10 water pumping stations with solar-powered system with 1.646 MW, growers can cultivate 3 crops per year in 4,003 farming acres. He also called for collaborative efforts of all departmental officials and local growers for conservation of solar-powered water pumping stations for long-term durability.

After the Chief Minister and officials opened the entrance by cutting ceremonial ribbons, one of the officials form construction company handover the working file of Ywar Thar Gyi 251 KW Solor-powered SystemWater Pumping Station to Assistance Director of Minbu District Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department (Water Sources).

Then, the Chief Minister provided cash rewards to entertainment troups and inspected the installation of 251 KW Solor-powered System at Water Pumping Station. And, the Chief Minister and officials attended the opening ceremony of new Kan Kaw Road with 18 feet wide and 570 feet long. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged all to focus on cleaning and greening tasks of the Pwint Phyu Township during this opening season. Then, the Chief Minister and party viewed around the new road.
