Agricultural Development: Implementation of Myanmar e-Governance Master Plan

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation held a coordination meeting on 5th March for successful implementation of e-Government tasks and implementation of the tasks included in the Myanmar e-Governance Master Plan.

Deputy Minister U Bo Bo Kyaw said the Ministry has to make arrangements for effective utilization of digital technology for improvement of public affair managements, development of agriculture sector and supporting in transforming from e-Government to Digital Government.

The meeting discussed the progress of implementing the e-Government tasks and plans to be carried out by the departments and universities included in the e-Governance Master Plan (2030). The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is providing Laws, By-laws, procedures and information related to the agriculture sector through 14 websites and 5 social media platforms in a timely manner.

Moreover, agricultural techniques and ways to tackle the obstacles faced by farmers are also provided via various mobile applications including agribiz news, AMD, Fiber Crip, LUD (Land Use Division, Myanmar GAP and PPD.
