Misleading reports: False information on Tatmadaw actions in Mandalay Region

Some subversive media outlets have intentionally spread false news accusing that Tatmadaw security forces forcibly expelled residents from Nanwintawpo Village of Natogyi Township and Kanswe Village of Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, on 1 March.

Additionally, they claim that the security forces seized money and valuable items from the villagers. But, the on-ground reports and an official responsible for security have confirmed that these accusations are totally false. The news story was fabricated with the intention of tarnishing the reputation of Tatmadaw security forces. In reality, Tatmadaw security forces are conducting operations in towns and cities across Mandalay Region to prevent any terrorist activities by PDF insurgents.
