Romania first aid marathon

Romania’s SMURD Foundation organised this weekend the Resuscitation Marathon in Bucharest where hundreds of people understood the vital role of giving first aid.

First aid in the case of cardiopulmonary arrests are essential to save a life. Dozens of medical professionals, SMURD volunteers and medical students gathered in a shopping centre in the capital to teach people how to save a person in the event of a cardio respiratory arrest. Statistics show that eight out of ten Romanians don’t know how to give first aid. It’s Civil Protection Week and all over the country different activities are organized.
