Silver Jubilee Celebration: 25th Anniversary of the Monastery in Taungson Village

The 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee of Saddhammadhaja Monastery in Taungson Village of Chaungsone Township, Mon State was held at the monastery compound on Sunday. Present at the ceremony were Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Region Government Ministers and invited guests.

At the auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister and congregation took five precepts from the presiding patron Sayadaw of themonastery and donated offertories. After that, the congregation listened to the sermon preached by the Sayadaw and shared the merits gained. This was followed by the inauguration of 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee of SaddhammadhajaMonastery with three times recitation of Namotassa.

The Chief Minister and his congregation cut the ceremonial ribbon to inaugurate the monastery’s moat and concluded the ceremony by chanting “Buddha SasanamCiramTitthatu” three times. They then encouraged the DhammaCariya and RamanyaPali (Ph.D) examinees from Mon and Kayin States, Yangon, Bago and Taninthayi Regions in addition to fulfilling the needs.
