High-Level Meeting: Myanmar's foreign affairs and economic priorities

The Ambassadors, Chargés de'Affaires ad interim, and the Consular General, who have been summoned back to Myanmar temporarily, joined a discussion led by concerned officials.

The meeting commenced with opening remarks by Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe. During the interaction, clarifications were made on various sectors, including protecting Myanmar migrants, drug eradication, social protection, repatriation of foreign residents being exploited in online frauds, financial policy, monetary policy, investment policy, and trade policy of the state.

Discussions also covered local and foreign investments, normal trade and border trade, efforts for MSME development, and the implementation of Special Economic Zones.
