Tribute to the Departed: Commemorating the Life of Naga HnaKaungSayadaw

Well-wishers are contributing cash donation, dedicating for the Final Rites of the demised Naga HnaKaungSayadaw. On Sunday, a cash donation ceremony was held at the Naga HnaKaung Monastery in Tachileik.

During the ceremony, well-wishers presented cash donations to the officials. Patron of Naga HnaKaung Monastery in Tachileik of Shan State (East), State OvadaCeriyaAbhidhajaMahaRattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dr Bhandanta DhammaThiri, passed away on 8th February at the age of 96, after 77 years of monkhood.

The Sayadaw provided many contributions to religion and society throughout his life, achieving numerous religious titles conferred by the government as well as from Thailand. The remains of the Sayadaw are being revered at the monastery for obeisance.
