Knowledge Sharing Program: Public-Private Partnership initiative & Ethnic Food Festival

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations conducted 45th Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) Friday Talk, in the presence of Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw. This Friday Talk session is conducted on a weekly basis, intending to develop the human resources and to upskill the staff.
In his opening speech, the Union Minister stressed that today’s discussion highlighted the public-private cooperation in Mandalay Region that all staff have to know. Mandalay Region ranks fifth in terms of foreign investment and 2nd in national investment among the regions and states in Myanmar. He added that in implementing the economic development of the country, the economic model must be carried out through government-led economy, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Private-led economic partnership.
All Staff are invited to enthusiastically take part in the discussion session to get into the private-public cooperation. This was followed by the detailed discussion of its relevant officials on a wide range of topics titled the importance of the government and private sector for the nation economic development, investments of private sector and the government's encouragement for the development of private sector.
The Deputy Minister gave a supplementary discussion regarding Public Private Partnership - PPP, which is a business model commonly used around the world and responded to queries raised by the staff.
In the evening, the Union Minister and concerned officials participated in the Ethnic Traditional Food Festival by visiting the ethnic food pavilions arranged by its relevant departments. The event was organized to commemorate the 77th Anniversary Union Day.
The Union Minister and party also enjoyed the traditional food joyously together with the staff.
