Education Sector: Meeting with Rectors and Principals

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe presided over a meeting with the rectors of the universities, principals of Education Degree Colleges and region/state education officers at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister urged basic education teachers and faculty members to make concerted efforts for the successfully holding of basic education examinations and matriculation exam.

In order to create advanced learning opportunities for the students and to improve the education sector, the collaborative efforts of the individual education personnel is necessary, he added. Then, the Deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint urged to accelerate the implementation of the Project-based Learning system to improve the thinking skill of the students and to focus on the cleaning and beautifying of the main building, classroom and dormitories.

The Deputy Minister Dr. Moe Zaw Tun clarified the long-term maintenance tasks to be carried out. Then, the further work implementations of the universities, basic education schools and education degree colleges were presented. The meeting was concluded by the closing remarks of the Union Minister.
