Application Approval: Mon Progress Party approved to establish political party

Those who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they want to establish. To date, there have been 15 groups that have applied for the right to establish as political parties.
Among the groups that applied, Mon Progress Party was found to comply with the political parties’ registration law and regulations, and the Union Election Commission approved the application for the establishment of a political party on 24th January, 2024.
The Mon Progress Party, which has been approved to establish as a political party, must apply to the Commission for registration as a political party under Rule 7 of the Registration of Political Parties within 30 days from the date of approval. It is reported that there are 11 parties that have been approved for the establishment of a political parties and other groups that have applied for party establishment are also being scrutinized.
