Workers at the Aksu Railway Station in China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region evacuated more than 200 passengers in two minutes in emergency when a powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake jolted on Tuesday.

A worker immediately reacted to the emergency and told all the passengers to leave the building as soon as possible. Then more workers rushed to the waiting hall and helped the passengers evacuate, with no one getting injured. Xinjiang’s railway authorities initiated emergency response plans right after the quake, which include closing sections of affected rail lines and halting the operation of passenger trains.

23 trains temporarily suspended due to the earthquake in the affected areas have resumed operations.
