Agricultural Development : Farmland Management Committee held its meeting

Magwe Region Farmland Management Committee convened its work coordination meeting on Tuesday, during which Committee Chairman and Chief Minister U Tint Lwin emphasized the ongoing efforts to achieve food sufficiency and promote socio-economic development through increased agricultural production.

He stressed the importance of preventing the diversion of farmlands for purposes other than agriculture and called for collaborative efforts among departments and organizations, in accordance with existing laws, bylaws, procedures, and directives.

The Chief Minister urged all stakeholders to work together to implement tasks effectively. The meeting later made discussions on cases related to applications for permissions to use farmlands for alternative purposes, crop compensation, and other relevant issues.
