Agricultural development: MoALI DM inspected Electric water pumping project

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw inspected Sin Thay Chaung Electric Water Pumping-up Construction Site near Kyan Pho Su village in Pubbathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 15th January.

First, the Deputy Miniter observed the desginated area where the water pumping-up plant to be built and the works of industrial, electrical and canal excavation and instructed the needs to be able to distribute water to the fields of crops, to coordinate with farmers and departmental officials by analyzing the agriculture lands within water ulitization system and to complete the work implementations on time meeting the standards.

From there, the Deputy Minister and party inspected the maintenance works from the Irrigation Systems D.O 11 to D.O 15. Durign the inspection, Deputy minister met with farmers calling efforts into increasing Water Utilization Groups (WUGs) to enhance the coordination amogn the farmers in cultivating the same crop pattern and to be able to distribute water effectively and are urged to use agriculural water without any loss.

Annually, water distribuiton is made through Sin Thay Diverison Weir in Pubbathiri Township, but now agriculraal lands are goign to be extened and the current maintenance works of water utiliztion sytems are going to be completed on time before summer crop cultivation season and in order to improve summer crop acarages.
