COVID-19 booster dose: Mon State CM oversaw giving COVID-19 booster dose

Due to the vaccination playing the crucial role in prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19, the medical doctors, nurses, healthcare personnel and volunteers from people’s hospitals in Mawlamyaing are carrying out the vaccination continuously categorizing the target groups such as the monks, nuns, religious leaders, local residents without discrimination, prisoners, persons with disabilities, people with chronic disease, students from 5 years to 12 years and above.

In the morning on 15th January, 2024, the Mon State Chief Minister, Chief Justice of State high court, State Ministers, older persons, departmental and healthcare personnel were given booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer) at Mawlamyaing General Hospital and Women and Children Hospital (Mawlamyaing).

The Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, State Ministers and officials oversaw the booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine Pfizer given to the departmental and healthcare personnel and local residents by the medical doctors, nurses, healthcare personnel and volunteers from Mawlamyaing General Hospital and Women and Children Hospital (Mawlamyaing).

The COVID-19 booster dose will be given to the departmental and local residents by categorizing the target groups according to the State Department of Public Health.
